Nigel

Meet Nigel, our new family member. Mona and Vince adopted him before Christmas as a three month old puppy. He will be six months in a few days. He is such a smart little guy.

Cooper left us last year on Valentine's Day and not a day goes by without us talking about him or remembering one of his silly antics. He was a couch potato from day one that we got him. A gentle soul.

He never tore up anything at home and rarely had an accident. He was our buddy and Mona's brother. He was able to calm us all down when we were in stress. A cuddle with Cooper, a few hugs and kisses were always a big help to overcome a sad or anxious moment. Nigel is not a replacement. Cooper can never be replaced.

Sir Nigel is a "terrier blend", that was how he was advertised. His litter mates did not look like him at all. Maybe they were not related? I see a wire-haired dachshund in him, some say a shepherd because of his large paws. I would really like to do one of those dog DNA tests. It would be interesting to see what mix he is.
He is almost potty trained, as he lets us know when he has to go out. Of course, at this age he still has an accident here and there. He is very playful and loves to tease his older brother Gino.

Such a cute puppy and growing so fast. Is frightened of a leaf, but brave when it comes to jumping on the couch.

I stole my nephew's booboo
