I am currently reading After This by Alice McDermott. It is a family portrait of a middle-class American family in the 60s/70s. She has a very subtle yet detailed way of describing and observing. And the reading just flows, I like that. I had also enjoyed her Book Child of My Heart.
Further on my list are The Other Side of the Bridge, The Horn Of A Lamb, The Way the Crow Flies: A Novel (P.S.).
not much really, I have been too tired in the evenings to even think about it. (Well, I did think about it all the time, but tried to avoid doing anything) I emptied all plastic bags that contained any yarn and stashed them in their right place under the bed. That opened up some space next to my bed at least. The weekend is here - two days is a whole lot of time to do at least two drawers.
